What Surfaced: Life Lessons From the In-Between Moments

ree

Reflections from a recent conference — and what they reminded me about growth, purpose, and change

I’ve learned to absorb lessons wherever I go — not just from what’s said out loud, but from what’s felt, observed, and experienced in the in-between moments. The hallway conversations, the silent pauses, the energy in the room — they speak, too.

A few months ago, I attended a conference that stirred up a few truths I already knew, but needed to feel again. And as always, life had a way of whispering them back to me — gently, clearly, and at just the right time.

Here’s what resurfaced:

🧘‍♀️ Morning rituals aren’t just self-care — they’re soul-care.

Starting the day with meditation, journaling, and breathwork isn’t just a wellness trend — it’s a necessity. It grounded me and completely shifted how I showed up each day. How we begin our mornings often sets the tone for how we navigate the rest of the day.

💭 Emotional intelligence is a quiet kind of power.

Once again, I was reminded that naming, processing, and navigating emotions — in ourselves and in others — is a form of strength. It’s leadership. It’s humanity. And it’s a practice we never stop refining.

🌱 Growth requires evolution.

Comfort is tempting, but growth asks us to move. To shift. To evolve. Whether in leadership, purpose, or identity — if we want to grow, thrive, and lead, we must be willing to change.

💖 Philanthropy is purpose in motion.

Philanthropy isn’t just about giving money or time — it’s about living from your values. It’s how your life begins to impact others in meaningful ways. It's alignment in action.

🎯 Purpose beats potential.

Potential is powerful — but only when paired with intention. It’s not just about what you can do, but how you choose to use your gifts on purpose.

✨ New beginnings require sacred transitions.

This one landed deeply: New beginnings are beautiful… but they come with transitions. And those transitions matter. They’re not just inconvenient in-between phases. They’re sacred spaces where growth quietly takes root. Where the real work happens. Where you become.

I get it — these reminders are not always easy. Life can be overwhelming, and taking the first step toward clarity or change can feel like the most challenging part. But even the smallest steps forward create momentum. And momentum is how transformation begins.

So wherever you are in your journey — whether you’re sitting in a transition, holding a dream, or looking for your next meaningful step — keep moving. Trust the process. And embrace the journey.

Ready for your next step?

If these reflections resonated with you, and you’re ready to explore how they apply in your own life — whether in leadership, identity, or purpose — I’d love to support you.

✨ Let’s plant the next seed together. Book an exploration call, and begin your journey toward clarity, alignment, and meaningful growth.
